As you know, any time we put something into production for the final consumer there are always resources used in order to make it happen, ranging from raw materials to energy; in effect, we create pollution and reduce our supply for future generations. One of the best ways to reduce the use of our precious resources is by donating what we already have to others who will have a use for them. As the old adage states, “Your junk is someone else’s treasure.” Two things happen here: there is less impact on the environment from the reduction in production activities AND we show others how easy it is to be philanthropic. Just to show how awesome of an effect you can create, take a look at what we here at James Ray International have recently done to put all this into practice. As a part of our in-office Book Drive, we’ve collected a grand total of 1,042 books to donate! Imagine all that paper not used to create the same books! I encourage you to be creative in your efforts as you plan for the upcoming spring cleaning season. As you know, it’s just around the corner! More on that to come in the following weeks!
